Hi folks,
The Haiku Foundation has a Twitter account and a Facebook fan page. We’ll use them to promote our web site and other projects. If you already use these channels, please follow us on Twitter and become a fan of ours on Facebook. Pass the word about these new ways that people can find out what we’re up to!

Hi, Dave, Thanks for posting Curtis’ Christmas link. That was fun.
PROBLEM SOLVED I think. Our FB page was restricted to the U.S. by default. I didn’t know that. Now there are no country restrictions.
In the meantime. enjoy this Christmas post from my friend Curtis:

Merry Christmas, everyone!
I regret that some folks are having difficulties with the links provided, I’ll look into the settings on Facebook. However, to clarify . . .
The THF page on Facebok is *not* a group with closed membership. It is a fan page that should be accessible to anyone. As described at this link. ..
http://www.searchenginejournal.com/facebook-group-vs-facebook-fan-page-whats-better/7761/
“1.Unlike groups, fan pages are visible to unregistered people and are thus indexed (important for reputaion management, for example);”
So, unlike Facebook groups, you should not have to be a member to see the THF Facebook fan page. Indeed, I sent the same link around to a number of people and it worked OK for them. But it is not working for everyone. I’ll see what I can find out.
Hi Dave
The problem appears to be about access to that page. If on Facebook you try and access for example a closed group of which you’re not a member, you’ll be redirected to your own wall of homepage. That’s what’s happeneing here and explains why you’re able to access the page yourself from the link, but others aren’t.

……………….. find us on facebook
I get to my own wall.
I am not a member of twitter
I had no trouble…it was passed on to me from a friend on FB and perhaps that’s why it was easy to just “share” it on my wall.
Folks, I haven’t changed the link in the post. If it worked once and does not work another time, it is not the link in the post–I think.
Please try this: hover over the “Facebook fan page” link and see if the status line at the bottom of your browser indicates this link:
http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Haiku-Foundation/346457215437?ref=ts
If so, the link is correct.
Doesn’t work for me either Michael. The first version did though.
Sorry for your trouble,Norman. I just checked the link and its works for me. I will follow up with you offline from this post.
Hi Dave
I’m a Facebook user but that link “Facebook fan page” took me only to my own wall there.
