Thanks to everyone who participated.

We received nearly 2000 entries!

We’ve now begun the process of selecting the winners for the three categories: Traditional, Contemporary, and Innovative. The judges are Billy Collins (Traditional) and Jim Kacian (Contemporary, and Innovative).

We will be announcing the winners near the end of April (National Poetry Month).

My first post, prompted by thinking how many people, maybe a thousand or more, have sent something to the contest, and how few relatively contribute to this blog. There, my feet are wet. Thank you.

It will certainly be interesting to see the results with that many entries. ( Another education!)

And a great vote of thanks for all the work that went into making it possible. It is a joy to find THF is forming a good foundation.
