Welcome to the fifty-ninth iteration of the Haiku Music Challenge, hosted by Naviar Records.
Ian Turner is a poet and artist living and working in the Pyrenees Orientales region of France.
pause pause pause
a crescendo of silence
This is the third and last haiku we shared from Moment, an anthology of 368 poems written between 1997 and 2020 by Ian Turner.
Fourteen tracks were made in response to Ian’s poem, and here’s my selection for this week:
Track: Pause Pause Pause
Artist: >Night Note
We start this selection with an evocative soundscape by Czech artist Night Note.
Track: Crescendo of Silence
I think this haunting, mystical composition by Synoneiro is a perfect match for Ian’s haiku.
Artist: Robert Knote
Lighter than the previous two submissions, here’s a piano piece by German composer Robert Knote.
Thank you for listening. Next week we’ll be listening to music inspired by another haiku by Issa:
two voices that sound alike
make their way . . .
clouds of blossoms
The deadline to submit your track is 2 September. To find out more and participate, please visit the Naviar Records site.
