My Book of the Week is George Swede’s Leaving My Loneliness, one of the outstanding Hexagram series published by King’s Road Press. One of Swede’s outstanding qualities as a poet is creating images that evoke feelings of loneliness and loss. This set of haiku beautifully satisfies the suggestion by Basho that death is ultimately the greatest subject for haiku.
