She has judged for the Arts Queensland Val Vallis Award, Forest to Furniture's 'A Brush with Verse', Queensland Society of Women Writers poetry competitions, and the Ipswich City Council Poetry Feast 2010. Publication credits for short stories and verse include Tirra Lirra, The Mozzie, Valley Micropress, paper wasp, speedpoets, Social Alternatives, miel, and Contemporary Haibun. Her work can be found online at Stylus Poetry Journal, paper wasp, foam:e, Contemporary Haibun Online, and Haibun Today. She has recently edited and published One of the Few: a memoir for Tahiti Jim Noble. Some of Ynes' poetry and haiku are installed in the Children's Rainforest Hide'n Seek Trail at Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha. Works in progress include a poetry collection, Flash Harry & other stories. When she's not writing, Ynes enjoys wrestling English into submission for people from far countries as a language tutor.
